The ever popular Cheshire Cat (of Alice in Wonderland) Funko Pop! vinyl is getting another pre-release, and this time with a twist!
He will be returning, but this time he will be known as the "disappearing" variant, where half of his body is see-thru! Funko has announced that this special variant will only be available in Hot Topic stores, making it an exclusive to them. Now with the original Cheshire Cat long retired, we might expect that this Hot Topic exclusive will fly off the shelf (Editor's Note: We have noticed the price points of variants at HT raising to $15.50 for some).
Knowing that the original Cheshire Cat sells for upwards of seventy five dollars on eBay, we could only speculate the desire as well as supply/demand. Back at San Diego Comic Con 2012 a blue variant cat was released (in a short edition of only 480), this version now demands a price closer to $200 at auction. This has me speculating the values of each version as it's release is imminent!
OTHER RELEASES: Many more new Hot Topic Exclusives have recently been announced as well: Batman (blue suit/Arkham), Storm/X-Men (GITD/Comikaze), Capt. America (Metallic/Comikaze), Frankenstein and his Bride (both GITD), the already released Simba (flocked), Spongebob (GITD), Jack and Sally (w/new accessories), Tinker Bell (fairy dust glitter), Daniel Bryan (red outfit), Loki (b/w), and the Bizzaro pre-release.
