Go Figure is in full solidarity with those trying to keep certain toys on the shelves at the behemoth reseller, Toys R' Us. We think it is ludicrous that toys can be selectively weeded out due to one person's opinion or for a particular theme. This type of consumer behavior is narow-minded. It also makes the reseller lazy in light of caving into any sudden whim of a soccer mom on a tear. And all sarcasm aside - it is probably better for the toy seller to deal with these issues on a case-by-case basis. Yes, we know the main customer base are children (ever hear of parental guidance?), but perhaps the store could, instead of considering not carrying "banned/censored" figure and games, rather simply arrange certain "mature" lines in such a way as to please those easily offended in some clever way. This is probably a reason to get involved. Stand up and be counted. A counter-petition (and full story) can be found at Change.org here.
