The buzz has been out there since San Diego Comic Con back in July and now the rumors are true. What some are calling the best Marvel Legends line to hit stands in years is coming to the pegs early in 2015. Hasbro is going super ambitious with this wave including not just one, but two Build-A-Figures in the seven figure set. That’s right, you get to try to build the Allfather Odin -- AND -- King Thor if you can track down all of the figures. It looks like the safest bet to land all of the figures in this wave is to pre-order a case and beat the rush of both the die hard collectors and the dreaded scalpers.
Included in the set are Thor, complete with Game of Thrones style sword, Classic Hawkeye, The Sentry, Scarlet Witch, Machine Man, Iron Fist (white costume) and the female Captain Marvel. All in all, there is not a weak link in the bunch and Marvel fans will be chomping at the bit to get in on this historic set where you can wind up with a whopping nine figures. You can be sure to see The Allfather Odin and King Thor Build-A-Figures going for beaucoup bucks on the secondary market. This is an ambitious move for Hasbro and the consensus all over the message boards and across the inter-webs is that this is one of the most solid and consistent waves in the history of the Legends line. Too bad that these won’t be in stores in time for the holidays because they would be the figures to get your hands on.
As I previously mentioned, I highly recommend pre-ordering a case on Entertainment Earth or Diamond Select Toys when they become available.
