Disney's Big Hero 6 is finally out in theaters, which, of course, calls for some vinyl figures! Vinylmation is made by Disney who created a very nice Big Hero 6 line up, including 7 pieces and one chaser.
This set includes two variants of the ever-so-loveable Baymax/nurse, and Baymax/mech, also included is Hiro, Go Go, Honey Lemon, Wasabi, Fred and a mystery chase character. Although many people are aware what the chase piece is, no spoilers here, but it's a great looking piece and seems to sell for double, sometimes triple the original price.
Oddly enough there are no variants in this set, some Vinylmation series' have variants which may only be a small difference in the paint job or sculpt -- and means it is much more rare. Personally I am happy to see this Big Hero 6 Vinylmation set up, because even though it is purely a Disney movie, it is also a comic made by Marvel.
Disney has also made two other sets of Marvel Vinylmation which included the first series that was mainly based around the Avengers series, the second being the Spider-man comics. It makes you wonder if the Disney Vinylmation company will make anything for the next big upcoming Marvel blockbuster-in-the-making, The Avengers 2: Rise of Ultron.
I believe if Disney did more Marvel Vinylmation it would surely bring other people slowly into the market to collect and purchase Vinylmation. Stay tuned to Go Figure for future updates regarding collectibles! And follow us on Twitter!
