No, it's not a scene from the Wizard of Oz, it's what some may call the "Geeky Oscars" - but in fact, it's that time again, for The Poppies! Developed in conjunction with MWCToys.com this is the eighth year for this web-event and yours truly will be one of the handful (there's 159 industry professionals) of select judges who will choose from a broad spectrum of wonderful pop culture collectibles released this year. The best and worst action figures, busts, statues and other shiny things will be revealed by this extended expert panel. We will be nominating soon - though as a way to reach out to our collector-base of readers it would be great to hear from YOU as it may have shape the development of how this goes. Bend my ear some + may the best plastic or vinyl remain standing (or posing, or be sensor activated...).
