.....Funko's head honcho, Brian Mariotti, has announced a few amazingly new pieces coming soon to the Pop! line. Included in the next year lines are as follows: more Hanna-Barbera: Dastardly, Muttley, Secret Squirrel, Morocco Mole, Lil' Gruesome and a Mean Machine Pop Ride!
As for wave two of the series: Squiddly Diddly, Penelope Pitstop and Ricochet Rabbit have all been announced, however Brian did say one "mystery Pop!" will also happen. What do you guys think it will be?
For the TV series they have some new DC comic lines, that's right, TV DC comic lines, including: The Flash, Gotham and even the highly anticipated Arrow lines will be coming soon!
As for the old school TV show vibes we have Saved by the Bell, Seinfeld and even the hit TV show Friends coming soon as well. Some of these were already previously announced at SDCC's Fundays celebration, this is just a more official confirmation....plus some new added things.
Oddly enough a few of these pieces such as the Hanna-Barbera line have been made into Funko Force, or Wacky Wobblers in the past, perhaps this means they will try to make past Wacky Wobblers into Pop! pieces?
There has been a lot of uproar and a lot of positive remarks when Brian announced that they would be making Pop! figures from classic TV shows at this past Fundays, but all we can hope for is none of these will be canceled. With brand-new Pop! lines there will also be exclusives, maybe a flocked Secret Squirrel (?), or maybe something else, there are a lot of great thingscoming and I, for one, am excited. I am also very excited to see what other old school TV shows Funko can license in the future. What kind of pieces are you hoping the add into the category?
