I feel like Goodwill is not the same place anymore. I mean, it used to be a spot. You might find something! It seems it’s now part of the trend of global gentrification. I don’t think I’ve found anything in there in over six months. So let’s take a trip down memory lane…
‘Where The Wild Things Are’ was one of my favorite books growing up (Ed. Note: Mine too). I dreamed of traveling to a faraway land and meeting odd and exotic creatures. I still do! What a surprise it was to find this little guy, loose, for $2.99. Where’s Max?!
Scooby-Doo was one of my favorite cartoons growing up. And while I don’t normally collect bobble heads, how could I pass this up?! I think this was from a more recent animated feature. But he’s so cute! Scooby-Doo was only $3.99!
ProTip: put bobble heads on top of your printer and watch them shake as you print!
I have no connection to the game. Was this a game?! I don’t know. But when I saw this figure in package for $7.99 I had to jump on it. Unfortunately, she only came with one set of hands: her gloved fists. But I saw the value right away and made my move. A Square Enix/Play Arts figure at that price? Okay!
I’ve never seen ‘Buffy the Vampire Slayer’. I have the entire first season on DVD, and do plan to watch it, but I’ve never seen a full episode. However, that didn’t stop me when I saw this bargain at $5.99. He came new, in-package, with alternate arms and weapons, and I swooped him up quick!
I’ve never seen Real Steel either. But catching this figure loose, with punching action, I pounced! The $2.99 tag had me chomping at the bit! He was a bit dirty, as though he had been played-with, but who cares?! I said, “I’ll take this.” I’ve now added Real Steel to the Netflix queue.
One of my favorite Facebook friends is a comedienne named Virginia Jones. When I saw this figure it reminded me of her. I recently heard her on an Internet radio program. She’s so funny! This figure was new, in-package, for only $4.99! Now I need the whole set!
Goodwill – come back!
