Southern Fried Horror Show Reviews McFarlane Toys' Tyreese

Hello collector friends, taking a look at everyone's favorite big man with a heart, Tyreese. from McFarlane Toys this week! The Walking Dead's gentle giant, though having a less prominent role than as the right hand man of Rick Grimes in the comics series, still manages to entertain and pull at heart strings on the show.

A physical beast, he often uses his bare hands to kill walkers. An emotionally fragile man who cares deeply about those he loves, he led a group of survivors all the way from Florida up to north Georgia with almost no supplies.

PAINT: Let's start here with a look at his impressive paint job. From the dirty, dingy look of his worn in-shirt to the light, dusty details on his jeans, in my opinion some of the simplest yet best paint jobs I've seen from a figure from McFarlane Toys. Even his yin and yang necklace is nicely represented. Detail on his beloved hat is nice, with even the tiniest rips represented.

ARTICULATION: is a little odd but all joints pop and rotate quite well. One problem is the waist is frozen solid. I don't want to force it for fear of breakage but in all honesty it's not necessary for great poses. The only thing taking away from the likeness is his beard could have been a bit longer. All in all, for the price (about $10-15) he's a great figure. You can pick him up on sale at GameStop or online here.

I give him a 9 out of 10.
