Here's the Blue Inner Child, the brand-new figure from artist Gabe 'Nerviswr3k' Rivas and the wonderful NJ-based Suburban Vinyl! This is a Tenacious Toys Exclusive (in the blue colorway) and we thank them for connecting us with this 4" tall beauty. This figure also comes in a red colorway.
From every angle, the sculpt is wonderfully emotional and animated. The gradations on the suit's eyes are remarkable, very convincing and dimensional. Complete with an incredibly detailed fingerprint meets lizardy-slug paint finish and two small articulated arms which you can see in our video:
Remember Max from the all-time classic Where the Wild Things Are? this figure conjures up a lively feeling, of animated fairy tales. As this small boy is either wearing the big bug suit, or is part human part unknown 'pede/sea monster - it is somewhat reminiscent to Max's get-up. The facial expression says it all though, perfectly capturing a moody child with its wonderfully droopy eyelids and frown. And he comes well presented in a full-color box designed by Brown Whale as well! A perfectly adept characterization.
The shark-like fangs are the strongest part of the plump suit, whish also looks a bit like an elephant trunk up close and personal. The blue is cool and stands out against the black grain finishing touches. Tight.
