For those familiar with the variant Play Arts Kai line, you know what the deal is here. It is stylized, and larger scale but taking that into consideration, this is a nice figure. Even if this interpretation of the most memorable Dark Lord of the Sith isn’t exactly film accurate, it is pretty dang cool nonetheless and the accessories, which include the phenomenal slashing lightsaber, make it a strong contender for that empty spot on your desk or shelves.
Can you sense a disturbance in the force? The Dark Lord himself, Darth Vader, has appeared, only he looks a little different. This special edition follows the series’ usual pattern and gives Lord Vader a Japanese makeover. Accordingly, he has more body-sculpted armor and a muscular appearance with a long flowing cape and a samurai-inspired helmet. Of course, Vader also comes with his red lightsaber plus effects parts to display it in motion and a left hand demonstrating his Force ability. The Force is truly strong in this one. Take this reimagined Japanese-style villain home to your very own Death Star today!
He's not up for pre-order just yet, but if you love what Play Arts Kai does take a look at what is out there right now. It will be released in May 2015 and I'm looking forward to hear what others thinks of this reimagining of such an iconic character. Do you like? Dislike? Let us know.
