It's So Suckadelic!

It's a Suckadelic world after all. One you may have not trodden or even known of its existence, but if you are the type that could use a cheshire smile right about now - look no further. You might dare to venture to their new blog, the home of The Super Sucklord. GOFN is thrilled to have a look-see into their world in hopes to open yours way up to a witty, no-nonsense world that takes no prisoners.

With Pride Month on the near horizon, why not take a harder look at classic examples by twisting them, just so. Suckadelic makes fun, colorful, irreverent carded variations of characters you may already know and love (but bring new relevance to their likenesses). Call them bootlegs, call them undergound, or "whatever." Here we have "Licorice Leslie" (2.5" figure) and "Time For War" (4" gay-trooper figure) from the "Gay Empire" subseries.

THE NERD-O-MATIC IS TICKING: There was always this understated thing going on with Marcy and Peppermint Patty - and this celebrates the latter's purple reign. Colorful, even neon, these say what you been thinking all these years, what if....All subtleties aside, literally, these gems stir the pot for many, while are essential for any true collector of outsider pop culture. They simply stare into the face of fun, head-on. Step aside Rainbow Batman (by Funko).

The good people at Suckadelic run their own shop, and do it their way. Lately they have been spoofing everything from mash-ups of Jaws 2 to Terry Richardson to Batman and the exaggerated male and female form (NSFW, depending). No one is safe, especially anything from the once glossy pages (now yellowing) from the 70s or 80s. The self-sloganed 'evil arts organization' are the hackers of the toy industry - and we love 'em! Their pieces are very limited edition and sell out reasonably quickly, so if you are a fan you know to jump quickly before they are snatched up by aliens or ex-pats.

SIMPLY UNIMPORTANT COLLECTABLE KITCHY LITTLE EYESORES The S.U.C.K.L.E. series is but one cross-section of their 8-bit inventory. I have the pleasure of playing around with these flesh-colored two-inchers. One of my favorites has to be the "Ass Wipe" with the pink neon illuminated card the tp roll with legs took me by surprise and it's a fresh take, indeed. This, of course, after their actual branded tp. Having lived through the punk era it seems like good time to throw up the middle finger to the establishment every once in a while - and this one does so perfectly wryly.

I'm also excited about the new play on Playmates, Star Wars and Chinatown as well. The characterizations are like a re-incarnated MAD Magazine for a new era of keyboard clickers and those who don't see the light of day.

There's ten listed on the rear cardback and it's always recommended to Collect 'Em All - from Sucklord 66 to Galactic Jerkbag - these are in yo face bro! These are "Not Made For Children" - so there. Designed by Marc Beaudette of Onell Design (also the maker of the very interesting Glyos series).

(top to bottom): AHG Sucktrosaurous 42-7800 from Galactic Jerkbags; Sucklord 16; Vectar the Intolerable from Toy Lords of Chinatown

A hip-hop Boba Fett monster meets rebellion vs. kitch personified! These figures make you say WTF with a much needed shrug to the establishment (whoever they are). Vive la revolution!

Check out their Kickstarter...And watch the Sucklord on Bravo too.....
