As a huge Firefly fan, I couldn't resist getting this Serenity River Triumphant Statue statue (or maquette or figure or whatever you call it!) and I love it, although I'm still trying to figure out how to arrange it for display in my room.

When it first arrived and I opened it, I was a little surprised to find that River attaches to the butchered Reaver base with magnets on her feet. She stands triumphantly in the centre of a circle of dead Reavers (zombie like creatures that did freak me out a little the first time I ever saw them) in a blood stained green dress with an iconic Serenity weapon. River stands 7" tall and the piece was sculpted by Michael Norman and released by DST (Diamond Select Toys) - and they only made 1000 of them!

This scene is iconic from the Serenity movie, which was created to wrap up the Firefly series when it got axed (HUGE mistake but there's TV execs for you, cutting the great stuff for a bunch of a crap most of the time.) This sculpture captures the final battle where River really comes alive and shows what she can do! During the series, we are introduced to River Tam as she wakes up after being experimented on by the Alliance.

Of all the collectables I have, this is one of my favourite pieces but I believe it can be quite difficult to get hold of one now.
