Pathfinder Battles: Iconic Heroes Set 3

If you tuned in last month you may have caught our review of Iconic Heroes Set 2 so with the help of the good people at Wizkids/NECA and Paizo we have fast-tracked this next rendition: Pathfinder Battles: Iconic Heroes Set 3. These skillfully crafted and colorful game piece miniatures come in a set of six per pack and include a half dozen exclusive ACG Boon Cards (one for ea miniature) under the base.

As you can see here the base conveniently fits and showcases the figures as they prepare for battle. This set includes: the Human Cavalier (Alain); the Human Oracle (Alhazra); the Half-Orc Inquisitor (Imrijka); the Elf Alchemist (Damiel); and the duo of the Gnome Summoner (Balazar) w/ the Eidolon known as Padrig! Let's have a closer look at them:

L: Balazar; R: Padrig

L: Alhazra; R: Imrijka

L: Alain; R: Damiel

This set overall is quite dramatic and its more varied in scale than the last set, but there is no less attention to detail here. These are about the scale of HeroClix if you are familiar with the game, and the paint is super-duper strong for tinies measuring a little over an inch to two in height. There are places where you can see a nice attempt at using various colors in gradation. Be extremely careful when removing them from the plastic inner housing as you want to maintain the black circular base - best to pop them out form the bottom with two hands.

Theese minis have lots of embellishments in the sculpt and paint, giving the figures a sense of flair of movement, with strong poses across the board. The two that seem to stand out most are Alhazra and Imrijka because of the flying cape, stance, coloration and mystery they exude. And that's so hard to do at thisscale - so bravo to WizKids for bringing these alive with real craftsmanship.
