Pick Your Poison: Before Night Falls

With the final and last Batman: Arkham Knight game scheduled to release next week, here are a few things you should keep in mind.

The Dark Knight returns to Kotobukiya’s hit ARTFX+ lineup of superheroes and villains based on DC Comics characters, this time with Batman in his new armored costume from the Batman: Arkham Knight game. The 2015 installment is the fourth in the Batman: Arkham series and takes the Caped Crusader to a whole new level with a heavily armored look fully realized in this highly detailed 1/10th presentation. Batman relentlessly hunts for the criminals attacking Gotham City (led by Scarecrow and the Arkham Knight), and to do that must break down a few doors. Sculpted by M.I.C., the 10 inches tall (1/10th scale) Dark Knight is captured in mid-leap, as he flies through the air in a dynamic pose that’s sure to catch any collector’s eye!

Opposing the Caped Crusader on screen and on your shelf is a brand new character with an awesome look, the Arkham Knight himself. A mysterious combatant who hates Batman and wants to see him suffer, the Knight wears a unique costume with a camouflaged bodysuit, armored extremities, and a low-slung utility belt, the Arkham “A “symbol on his chest and of course a seemingly Batman-inspired helmet with pointed ears.

A first for the ARTFX+ series, the Arkham Knight comes with a new modular base system that lets you customize your display with a wide range of options; you can have the villain rushing over rooftops, breaking through a wall, or tackling the hero. With multiple square and rectangular pieces to build up your display plus unique architectural elements and joint parts to hold them all together this set is all about building your own diorama base. Even better, you can really craft your own unique display by combining the Arkham Knight’s modular elements with those of his arch-rival Batman and show off the two fighting in a rich and complex Gotham City environment.

These are expected between December 2015 and first quarter in 2016. Each set is around $84.99 USD and they are available for pre-order through Amazon and Kotobukiya US.
