Devilbots Are Taking Over The Asylum!

Devilbots are 2" miniatures from SIS (China/Hong Kong/Macau). The figures are derived from the mother company To-Fu Oyako (Japan) with many different subsets that we will look at including: Fruit To-Fu (which are sold out) and this week's edition....Monsto-Fu! There are a half-dozen of these cuties in the series, and we have three to look at a little more closely - which are double-faced (front + back). Here is the entire set:

The company has done many collaborations and iterations (sizes, characters) of it's figures, though today we are looking at: Jiangshi To-Fu, Ghost To-Fu and Zombie To-Fu. They are unusually built with big block heads and smaller bodies though stand reasonably well on a flat surface. They are colorful and cute and a lot of fun.

The expressions are priceless. Keep in mind these are fairly lightweight and have the feel of wood, though they are made of vinyl. They are in a limited edition, that are un-numbered and we've noticed that some of their series do sell out rather quickly. In fact, only a single set is up on Amazon as we go to print. While perusing the site we noticed a cool 7.5" figure as well blowing chewing gum bubbles! Here's a few different perspectives so you have an idea of how these are made....

It seems that Jiangshi is quite popular in Asia as we have seen these characters pop up in a variety of toy sets this past year, you might remember back in March when we covered Osaka Popstar's Hopping Ghosts! For ghosts and ghouls these are the least scary that can be. These figures are wonderfully colorful, front and back. Their articulation is limited to their arms, which move rather well - but they are pretty small, so be careful when moving them around.
