Pick Your Poison: Future Feline

Square Enix has released some official images for their upcoming Play-Arts Kai DC Comics Variant Catwoman figure, which was designed by Tetsuya Nomura. The figure will come with an alternate pair of hands, spiked whip and pistol.

Some of Nomura’s design hallmarks that were surprisingly absent on his Batman Redesign – like his notorious love of superfluous buckles and studs – make a comeback on this crazy Catwoman variant for Square-Enix’s Play-Arts Kai Figure line. There’s the hair, flowing out below Catwoman’s helmet (which oddly enough looks more Batman-y than the design he actually used for Batman). There are the impractically gigantic claws on her hands. The absurd combination of heavy armor everywhere except where it would actually protect her, which is where, of course, she’s basically naked instead.

And then there’s the presence of Catwoman’s whips as…her tail? She looks like she’s basically a ‘sexy’ Xenomorph crossed with Final Fantasy’s Dragons. There’s not a release date yet but keep your eyes out for it.

Two previous versions of Catwoman by Square Enix are available as well: Arkham City and Dark Knight.
