Kidrobot is by far the most focal purveyor of fun, quality, affordable vinyl collectibles in our country. They've expanded and diversified their products to now include a new Adventure Time Mini Series line that we think you will absolutely love! Join us (along with Finn + Jake) as we unbox the wave (we hope the first of many!!?!!). As we promised in our recent entry, thanks to Kidrobot, we are offering a giveaway to three (3) lucky people so keep reading + watching.....
The case holds twenty individually boxed figures. The series includes eighteen (18) different characters - some familiar and a few really unexpected characters. Surprises include Flame Princess and the Magic Man among others! It's refreshing to see new characters fromt he series forged in vinyl, but not just any vinyl, these are truly quality from the feet up. The sculpts are each so unique and dynamic and follow the character style, not at all dictated by cookie cutter design. The expert paint application is bright and bold, precise. And these figures have articulation - some moreso thanothers - but the arms and heads move. It was a completely unexpected touch but moves this series leaps and bounds as the front runner in the world of blind box minis. These figures are also now available on Amazon.
Each silver foil sealed figure comes with a small card depicting the character inside the box (don't peek until you open the wrapper unless you are buying to strictly trade). Let's have a look at our unboxing/giveaway video:
You can watch our unboxing which goes over ratios per box for each individual figure. Another thing to mention is that two of the offered figures come with an accessory, Marceline (her "axe") and Finn with Grass Sword (not seen in the video). They are inside the box and wrapped separately in plastic - so don't discard your boxes until you have these parts. This was a nice unexpected bonus - now I want extra accessories each figure - like a bonus accessory pack! Hmmm. The only characters that we missed this go around were Peppermint Butler, Lemongrab (more Candy Kingdom characters) and the Lady Rainicorn - however Kidrobot is offering a 7" version of Jake's muse! Wave Two? We can only hope.
