Have A Tiny Spot of Tea?

If you collect mini figures you may have already come across Lunartik (aka British artist Matt Jones), the makers of Loose Tea. There are a ton of customs out there, thanks, in part, to some fun contests and other creative reasoning. The thought of pairing a classic morning bevvie with the fun of "brewing it yourself" seems almost irresistable.

TEA = BRINGS PATIENCE: From the start there was bound to be some trickieness, however. My guy was missing eyes, but I didn't let that disuade me from getting my brew on! Inside the packaging there are instructions, though I traded that for watching the founder piece this together (after trying to do it just by way of instinct (which didn't work). So I viewed this short "how to" video:

The video was perfectly simple and the trick in this brew was, of course, hot water!!! I kid you not, once I broke out the water, this thing clicked together seamlessly and was a breeze, almost a waft of earl grey billowed through the room. In my opinion I like these pure white proto-type pieces that are pre-primed, keeps the imagination timelessly at bay. But of course these are made for the creative in everyone, so paint and prod away! But it makes sense to do so (and let it all dry) before moving forward with piecing it together.

This lil' guy is steeping adorably, holding himself up from the edge of the cup. These could become addictive, and almost harkens the sense of a set given anyone who has a china collection (or has oogled their parents, or grandparents). He looks a bit like a martian or miniature superhero, just sitting there so still, staring out to the thirsty, the jittery throngs.

GIVING NEW MEANING TO THOSE TINY LIL TEALEAVES: These also come in assorted colors, blind boxes, etc. And the packaging is quite cool - especially appealing to those who are not into the DIY side of life. Colorful, and silly fun.

YOUR CUPPA: Whether it's one lump or two, or just black, Lunartik has a flavor that will suit your tastebuds. This would be a perfect gift for the artist in your life, or to add to your own shelf. You can find these on Amazon here and here. While you are re-arranging, have a look at their Instagram...
