Slowly Building A Mouseketeer Army

A few months ago we covered another figure in Bob Dob's Mouseketeer Army, and they are back to infiltrate! This time, with cigarette aflame and proud black eye intact this tough kid carries an adorably menacing balloon. These figures are like the voice of the inner child in 3D! If you haven't checked out the artist's site please do. While there, if you love this as much as we do, you can pick up the figure direct, or the entire set.

DEVIL LOCK: In terms of sculpt there are a few differences, beside color, from character to character - so we will supply a few shots of the two we have on hand (below). This guy has definitely been through a few tussles and come out on top, looking for more trouble. The bright orange balloon is priceless, capturing a sharp-toothed mouse who just might pop itself. Actually this vinyl figure is sturdy and no helium was harmed during the production of this figure.

The overall finish is slightly flat/matte which adds a slight retro feel to this pug-nosed pre-teen thug wielding a blade. The string on the balloon is actually metal (which was smart on part of Dob and the wonderful precision of the folks at 3DRetro. This vinyl variation called "Devil Lock" (most likely for his greased-up 50's styled 'do) was made in a limited edition of only 250 and proudly stands at 6" tall. Have a look at a few details:

The facial sculpt is what makes this pack a whallop of a punch, all the other details are the cherry on top. From his catepillar eyebrows to his cleft chin and gorgeous Elvis meets the Little Rascals slicked-back coiffe, it's a face that is memorable and immediate. Rough + tumble, we think these figures look even more of a street gang worth contending with when grouped together.....
