This week I scoured the internet and came up with something from each genre of enjoyment. We have cute, metal, comic book, science fiction and extraterrestrial. 1 - Official 1:10 scale Slipknot figures manufactured by Staramba. These heavy metalheads are 3D printed figures and only available via Slipknots' German merchandise store. The figures available are: Sid Wilson, Joey Jordison (not available), Paul Gray (not available), Chris Fehn, James Root, Craig “133” Jones (coming soon), Clown, Mick Thomson, Corey Taylor, Jay Weinberg + Alessandro Venturella. 2 - Raw Legend Collaborations Designed by Eric Ho. These 3D printed figures are some of the coolest that I've seen around. Most have a super hero theme like Iron Corgi, LoKitty (The Sorcerer), Bane Cat, Corgi Potter, The Corgi Knight and Thorgi. There's a theme here and it's Corgi's as you see. The figures are available in sandstone, metal and polished nickel steel. Take a look I bet you will never look at Thor the same way. Info: http://www.shapeways.com/shops/ericho
3 - Battle Damaged Terminator Genisys Quarter Scale Guardian by Toynami. This 18 pound 22" protector of Sarah Connor comes with two interchangeable hands and sports a cloth jacket. The first hand is equipped with a rifle that he uses in the film. The second hand will feature the magnetic rings he uses to fight the T-3000 at the end of the film. All the scars, blood, and metal you ever wanted in an Arnold figure are right here, this is definitely one I may save up for.
4 - Green Goblin Pop! figure from Funko. I wanted to include this one this week, because this is an new mold from Funko. Green Goblin is one of my favorite Spider-Man villians and his Pop! alter ego looks very cool. I really love the face, as well as the fact he has a flaming pumpkin ready to throw in his hand.
Available through Popcultcha (Australia) now, more retailers coming later.
5 - Flatwoods Monster by Medicomtoy (Japan). This soft vinyl is based on the Flatwoods Monster (also known as the Braxton County Monster or the Phantom of Flatwoods). This alleged unidentified extraterrestrial or cryptid was reported to have been sighted in the town of Flatwoods in Braxton County, West Virginia, United States, on September 12, 1952. I for one love what Medicomtoy has done with this figure. The claw like hands and the bright yellow eyes compliment the metallic paint of this monster from the woods. I hope everyone found something different this week to maybe think about adding to your collection. Later from the Great White North Eh!!!!!
