Only 10 handmade Shagghoulie figures are available, Each feature a new sculpt based resin head based on the Dimension Hopper toy, hands and feet, a 1:6-scale body, and a hand-sewn furry jumpsuit. We Become Monsters has been in the designer/art figure game for awhile now and have built up a nice portfolio of nightmarish creatures for collectors to feast on, everything from an 8 " 1950's Alien to the Mash up twins figure called Teleportation error. There's a creative theme with every creation, backstories and descriptions are as exciting as the figure itself. Here's the description of Teleportation Error
" Never teleport identical twins. The exact DNA match clogs the teleporter with these fugly things, and it's a pain to reset the machines and clean out all the gunk. Also this little bastard bites something fierce."
I got a chance to get a few answers to some burning questions I had for We Become Monsters while he was in our atmosphere, Here are a few of them. Q: How long did it take from start to finish to design him. Does he have a backstory?
A: A long time, but mostly because he evolved from another toy. I made a one off Shagghoulie for Dcon with the original dimension hopper head, and he got a good response, so I wanted to do more, but felt I should do a new version of that sculpt instead of just reusing it, so this skull-version was born.This version took a couple days to tweak and re-mold, Production is about 3 days per toy (sewing,has to be done by hand with this fur). As for backstory, I imagine he's just a sort of grim reaper type of icon in whatever World(s) the dimension hoppers live in. If you are unfamiliar with dimension hoppers, they're "Wormhole leaping critters of a million universes! The perfect travel companion for dimensional explorers and temporal adventurers. Trustworthy and loyal, their third eye sees all possibilities.
