Spanish toymaker SD Toys may not be a household name stateside, yet they have some really amazing licenses to manufacture toys lines from Star Wars, DC Comics, Big Bang Theory, Mazinger, The Godfather, Games of Thrones, Gremlins, The Warriors, Grease and many more. They have a pre-order up for an officially licensed Cthulhu Lovecraft statue, and this looks promising.
This 7-inch figure of Cthulhu stands tall, with wings outspread. The sculpt and muggy Green paint adds to the malevolence of this mythological beast. This Cthulhu interpretation is done with it's own style while still staying true to Lovecraft's description of the beast. There’s an odd alien-like look in Cthulhu’s eyes, and his facial tentacles bust from his face like an large cornucopia beard of weirdness. This meanies body has a worn,wrinkled, and weathered texture. Cthulhu has four-fingered hands, reverse-articulated legs, and unique monster feet. Dragon-like wings fold outward from his upper body and a freakish tail rolls down from his lower back. You can pre-order one here.
