The Yeti uses the 1/6 scale Ape Head that Michael Fichtenmayer sculpted and sells through his company: Industria Mechanika. One part Planet of the Apes, and one part reality (well as close as possible with walking, talking apes)....
After painting the head crepe hair was blended into the scalp. The body (bought on Ebay) is a stock sixth-scale figure. The Yeti has various accessories such as snow-poles, rifle, picks, boots, shovel, and clips. These items were all pre-fabricated, then cleaned up, modified and repainted. The clothing was a pre-fabricated German WWII snow covering (except for the skirt portion which was sewed up to match the outfit). The flags were made by Michael Fichtenmayer from the same material as the skirt, and the pole was made from wood, brass, and polystyrene.
This is a very interesting and fun custom figure, I'm glad Michael Fichtenmayer decided to do this Yeti with a touch of Planet of the Apes. If interested in this figure please contact Michael Fichtenmayer at his blog and check out his company Industria Mechanika.
