DC Comic's Superman is dying, but don't fret he'll have a whole different look in DC's Rebirth comics. He’s dying and his powers will be split over slew of new people, one of them being a young man from Shanghai.
Gene Luen Yang’s (who is writing the upcoming series) New Super-Man, gave his superhero this civilian name Kenan Kong. He had originally wanted to call his Kenji Kong, but he was worried that people might mistaken him for being Japanese.
The new Superman's cultural and upbringing in Shanghai will come into play throughout story and character progression.
