So many things will be going on today, First off if you have Twitter there will be a 24 trivia challenge (#AlienDay426), in which ALIEN trivia question will be asked via the official Alien Anthology Twitter account, @AlienAnthology. You need to pre-register at their Twitter handle at ALIEN Anthology (http://AlienAnthology.com) to be eligible to win any of the prizes that are available for this event.
ALIEN & ALIENS Returns to Theaters On April 26th in 20 cities, including Austin, New York, Los Angeles and Dallas as participating Alamo Drafthouse locations. These are needed to been seen on the big screen, why not revisit them on this special day.
Sigourney Weaver (Ellen Ripley) will attend a screening of ALIENS at New York City's Town Hall. This screening will feature a host of Xenomorph mayhem, including custom video pre-shows and a Mondo ALIEN T-shirt designed exclusively by Jay Shaw available for purchase. Los Angeles will also celebrate at the Alamo Drafthouse and will have a Q&A period hosted by Matt Gourly featuring cast members Jenette Goldstein (Private Vasquez) and Carrie Henn (Newt) .
Reebok Alien Stomper worn by Sigourney Weaver as Ellen Ripley, as well as the mid tops worn by Lance Henriksen as the Android Bishop, are being released by Reebok in limited edition to mark ALIEN DAY. The iconic movie sneakers will be available beginning April 26th at Reebok.com and select Reebok stores worldwide.
If you can't attend any of these events or limited edition shoes aren't your thing, don't worry there's a barrel full of action figures and comic books being released on this special day. NECA will release the first ever Private Vasquez and Newt figures. Kenner will have a toy-Inspired Ellen Ripley figure, that will be available to honor the day. Funko will release an Alien Queen and Power loader/Ripley Reaction figure set. Dark Horse comics releases Aliens comic books with exclusive covers for participating retailers. The people over at Fright Rags have a shirt up in celebration of 4/26 (LIMITED TO ONLY 426 SHIRTS!) featuring incredible artwork by Dan Mumford.
Many, Many other things will be happening this day, so keep looking around the corners. Don't forgot about all the Alien/Aliens figures and goods you might have been waiting on getting, what better time to get them!.
