BOOM! Studios’ Archaia imprint will partner with The Jim Henson Company to release three comic books for the 30th Anniversary of Labyrinth! Jim Henson’s Labyrinth: Tales in September, and Jim Henson’s Labyrinth: Artist Tribute in November. The 48-page 30th Anniversary Special comic will feature short stories and characters from the movie such as Sir Didymus, Ludo, Ambrosius, and Hoggle. September’s Labyrinth: Tales will be a picture book release including short stories by Cory Godbey (Flight, Jim Henson’s The Storyteller: Dragon). This release will be more geared towards kids.
Jim Henson’s Labyrinth: Artist Tribute will be an art book release. It will feature artist's images paying tribute to the film. A board game adaptation is also in the works for a Summer 2016 release. This will coincide with the 30th Anniversary Blu-Ray release (August) and Labyrinth hitting the theaters for a limited run.
