One of my earliest introductions as a child to non mutant heroes in comics was Frank Castle. I call him a hero, but he is considered more of an anti-hero, for vigilante war on crime. I think I was really enticed by the fact that The Punisher was a supposed master of martial arts, stealth tactics, guerrilla warfare, and a wide variety of weapons. This set him so far apart from any of the mutant characters I had met before him.
Mezco Toyz has developed a figure that embodies the intensity of this unique character. He'll be sporting a newly designed One:12 Collective body (with 32 points of articulation) , and will also behold impressive details. This Punisher tries to stay true to the Marvel comic book version and also creates a "real world" look reflecting the character's intense existence.
Frank's arsenal consists of an armored skull load bearing vest with belt and knife sheath combat knife, 9mm automatic pistol with extra clip, machine gun with extra clip, grenade launcher with six grenades, submachine gun with extra clip (I hope he has enough weapons). He comes dressed in his all black fabric uniform highly realistic fabric uniform with detailed sculpted costume accents, including belt, gloves, harness and boots gauntlets with magnetic attachments.
Frank will also have two separate interchangeable heads, one showing the toll all his vigilante actions have taken on his body. Also included in this fifth panel window box is multiple sets of hands and a display base.
Hopefully this Punisher will fair better than Dolph Lundgren and Thomas Jane's movie versions. Look for this to hit the streets around November or December of 2016 at a price of $80 (USD).
