The collective excitement over the mighty fine remake of George Miller's 2015 Oscar sweeping thrill-ride of a film, Mad Max: Fury Road had one glaring void. For all its fire and dusty panache collectors of fine action figures and the like were once again miffed not to see one of the year's most compelling action films not enacted in the smaller realm of one-sixth scale action figures (or any size for that matter). We understand the awkwardness and tender side of merchandising/licensing - but we here at GOFN feel it was an epic fail not to at least have one fine example of this cinematic moment in time......Oh, wait, now there is, in the form of the Wasteland Ranger by VTS Toys of Hong Kong.
With a surreal likeness of Tom Hardy in his seminal role as Max Rockatansky, our eyes bugged out at the rigor of the film and this artist conception of a limited edition figure. Sideshow Collectibles take note, this is the kind of thing we'd love to see, but it's almost more fun (and less expensive at only $167 via their online store. And just gander at the arsenal of accessories. Oh yeah, someone out there was just smart enough to know what the savvy, particular collector wants, needs and desires. You're welcome!
