It's A NECA Mecca Out There

We are excited as the Summer continues to heat up and at the height of it all NECA releases a few new outstanding figures that will add some odd flavor to any family gathering or otherwise. The two we are focusing on today come from the Alien and Texas Chainsaw Massacre franchises...a lil' horror for your Tuesday. At the end of this clip please make sure to check out our video review for fuller details.

First up is the fabric clothed version of Leatherface from The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2. A frightening sight to behold indeed this one's got some quirks and lots of pluses, including his bloodied fleur-de-lis tie and crazy chunky head-sculpt. Jason Edmiston did the very cool artwork on the tray card. He comes with a few simple but very detailed accessories....

Tune into our video review for more images of the figure, and a detailed look at him out of package. Next up we also opened up the Commando, of Weyland-Yutani from the film Aliens 3. Let's have a look....

Here we have the Commando from Aliens 3! This figure is so cool. The paint and sculpt must be noted as being some of the most exceptional work I've personally seen from NECA to date. The flight suit is superb on many levels and matches nicely with the previously released Alien astronaut figures. In fact, I think this is crafted as well as some sixth-scale space figures. So much detail, so intimate for this typical action figure scale. He gets a 9/10 overall as far as we are concerned. The accessories are cool, though I wish they had a more worn, brushed look as the suit. The helmet is spectacular. So many superlatives, but watch our video (below) for more.

Here are a few shots to get your tastebuds operational...
