Deadshot Marks The Spot

SUPERVILLAINS UNITE: With audiences in a quiver over the latest upcoming Summer blockbuster, Suicide Squad, there is much to look forward to (and that which is already out in the market) from the characters wrapt in this comic come to life. One such character gets his due being portrayed by Hollywood fave Will Smith, in his turn as the austere cyborg-like Deadshot. Appearing first back in 1950 (Batman #59) this assassin turned antihero is primarily known as an expert pro combat marksman in the crime underworld. The character has appeared in various forms over the years, in video games, animated features and even in Lego form. Here we explore the most contemporary versions now (or soon) available which most clearly resemble the actor in the film. From DC Collectibles, Medicom and Mattel (and a surprise ending!) come our man Deadshot up close and personal. Hold on to your seats......

Here we have the latest from DC Collectibles, and a fantastic likeness of the actor, expected in September you can pre-order him now, and don't take our word for it, check out these glam shots....

Next up is another spectacular looking poseable 6-inch action figure from the makers at Medicom. He comes with a tradeable set of un/masked heads and weaponry (rifle, guns, knife). We truly dig the compartments for all the parts, etc. as well as the worn kneepads and dirtied look of his footwear - hopefully that will make it to the final paint stage! It's those type of details that collectors crave. He's not due until Spring '17 but get your appetites whet for this and a whole lot more more more....

Then we have the 6" and 12" Multiverse versions of Deadshot from Mattel which are now available. The 6" version boasts 18 points of articulation and is part of the 'Collect and Connect' series with a bonus piece to create Killer Croc (one of our favorite characters at GOFN)!

Lastly not leastly we have the 12" Multiverse Deadshot from Mattel which has a bit more of a stern look and more significant costume details as well as an additional rifle. His eyebrows are a bit more cartoonish, but overall we think he'd be the pick in terms of scale from this toymaker. Check him out a little more closely....

PS: And, a whisper of things to come from the incredible high-end makers at Hot Toys....due April '17
