PIN PRIDE: I don't know about you but I'm one of those early punk rock kids who went to catholic school in a tie and suit jacket. A rebel without pause. The difference between me and all the other kids in the classroom was that my blazer's lapels were adorned (some might say "encrusted") from end to end with pins sharing various slogans, boasting things like "Moral Majority Is Neither", "I Am A Cliche" and "W.O.W." (for Wendy O' Williams of Plasmatics fame, who I met at 16 years of age!). If none of this makes sense it will in due time my pretties, as pins, in shiny enamel, are coming in from all angles and there are so many frickin' cool ones I can't keep my silence any longer.
There are many folks who are putting these out like Creepy Co., Buff Monster and most notably Special Ed Toys (you must have seen the Hip Hop Trooper, which incidentally sold out)! Just today Kent from Disburst aptly referred to this moment in time as 'Pinmageddon' - and I concur! Here are just a few I am proudly wearing in this video right here my friends:
APPAREL-ENTLY: These from Ron English's Cereal Killers series were just announced this morning - so keep your eyes peeled for them at Popaganda and elsewhere. Just GORGEous!
And here are a few close-up shots of this week's spoils courtesy of the incomparable Special Ed Toys....
