After the hugely successful screen debut of Deadpool earlier this year collectors big and small have been served hundreds of collectable (and trashy) variations on the acidically funny antihero. Then comes Frankpool and the wheels of industry come to a screeching halt. (not literally but...) Why you ask?
Well because animator Steven Cartoccio dared to take the Marvel-ous one to a completely new depth of field, by creating an embellished character now merged with a wacky bulldog. What's more, he's making these available as a signed/numbered edition of only 100. These, at least in the prototype digital renderings look freekin' amazing in rich color with funny details that give a paunchy dog a new leash on life....
Standing at an impressive 9" tall he will come with, get this, three (3) replaceable heads - this is pretty exciting given that this will be a painted resin figure. The katana looks so nicely realized as does, especially, the toothy half-masked headsculpt (perhaps he's a three-faced dog?!). Frankpool is currently in production and he will be an extremely reasonable $125 right here. Here are a few more shots in case my rumination hasn't laid enough groundwork to whet your tastebuds....
And a few more of Cartoccio's Marvel mash-ups for good measure...
