Paul Komoda Meets Gecco To Create Cthulu Like Never Before!

GECCO'S GOT IT! Down deeper in the depths than you can imagine lies the fiery wild mind of the genius H.P. Lovecraft who continues to have an effect on so many creatives. It is absolutely no surprise to see this delightful pairing of laudible artist Paul Komoda with growing independent Japanese maker, Gecco. Their Cthulu concoction is a seven inch tall ferocious version of the fated man/beast/sea-creature of the night.

Made in polystone its painted surface (thanks to David Dill) is slick and slimy, subtle and somewhat realistic - which is a nice trademark of the quality makers behind the scenes. It's as if an insect and octopus morphed with a standing being to create something quite terrifying. You can expect this in the first few months of next year.

From Gecco: "From the genius mind of author H.P. Lovecraft and visionary artist Paul Komoda comes the ancient deity “Cthulhu” available for the first time as a high quality prepainted statue. This original vision of Cthulhu pushes the design to new and exciting heights. Every detail is expertly captured, from the suckers on the tentacles to the sinewy texture of the massive wings this is sure to please the most demanding collector."
