INSIDE OUT: 2016 has been the year of the XXRay series from Mighty Jaxx and artist Jason Freeny. And they are about to turn up the heat by adding a completely new functional dimension by adding partner Fame Master (Hong Kong) into the mix. As an officially licensed product of DC Comics™ they will soon breathe new life into the earlier 4-inch anatomical figures - now 9.5" in height - by adding fully dissectable PVC components (37 in all!) that allows for the internal organs to be dis/assembled, giving these a much more hands-on quality all around! The parts are all individually painted inside a transparent outer casing shell. He will run for $89.99 and is on pre-order here. Check out our previous review of the initial trio of releases to get an idea of where this is going.....

We are in love with the idea, and it will certainly give say, the Lego generation, a toy to actually play with instead of exclusively just collecting and shelving. Freeny said about the project: “This project is the result of a 10-year quest from mere concept to actual fruition. It’s the combined efforts of Mighty Jaxx – one of the top designer toy producers, Fame Master – the global expert in anatomical models, and myself – a dude with some clay and the curiosity to see what’s inside my favourite childhood toys.”

THE CAPED CRUSADER HAS GUTS: After a full year with various prototypes the company is definitely keeping us on our toes with this one and so many interesting new releases, watch here for the pre-release notice this Saturday (11/19) of the new 4D XXRay Batman -- and expect to see a review of Alex Pardee's The Backpack as well as Huck Gee's The Gold Life coming soon, all from Mighty Jaxx!
Here's the idea coming to life.....
