This Pencil Thing Is Killing Me Softly

NO. 2 CALIBER: Forces of Dorkness (aka Scott Kinnebrew) has just released this wacky John Wick 2: The Pencil. It's a reference, not a figure. It's "Not A F**king Toy". Otherwise, it's a bagged sharpened pencil with a header card depicting one of Hollyweird's most popular contemporary b-actors. Is it a novelty? Is it artful in the Dadaist, postmodern way? Or is this a lowbrow gag gift, prop play? If you haven't seen the film yet would it matter? Is it the fact that this was even a wayward excuse for a sequel that would dredge up the #2 pencil? Is this a response to all the bad decisions by filmmakers who've dared make a follow-up to otherwise bad first features, or even to those who made great ones that told a story from end to end, but are otherwise simply being cashed in on years later by a subpar part deux? Has culture, in the eyes of the general public, allowed for this wafting in and flushing away of their delusions of franchise grandeur? I'm not sure if any of your questions will be answered here. I'm disinterested in being in the know, but for some reason this is just the type of fodder that might drive a man to drink, and wield a writing utensil!

"This is a tribute to an amazing action-movie franchise. It's a real pencil, coated is resin for durability, and custom painted to look like it has entered someone's skull and then been retracted. Each one is hand made so there is some variation between each so no two are alike. Call it a toy, call it a collector's item, call it a weapon, just don't call John and expect him to say anything on the phone or to use more that 3 words as a response in a conversation. Each one is a standard sized No. 2 pencil in a custom bloodied bag (note: It's paint and not actual blood because that would be gross and probably smell after a while) with a custom designed header card by The Forces of Dorkness. $16.95 gets you one and being the nice guy he is Scott is also including shipping in the US."

The release is limited to 20 pieces, and to make one part of your collection all you have to do is go to http://forcesofdorkness.storenvy.com
