Buzzard Guts x DAMarx toys are tearing it up these days. And now here comes their latest incarnation, Cybot Avengers! This will stir up the cockles of many a comic heart. Artful carded bootlegs are the rage these days, as you saw earlier this month with (In)Active Figures 5 at Clutter Gallery. And the field of makers is growing. This set of four is made from resin and perfectly meld the worlds of Marvel and Star Wars seamlessly. I'm in love with this mash-up of original Kenner ('77) protocol droids. 3P0 a go go! The card art looks spectacular to flesh this whole concept out.
The figures are 3.75" tall, hand cast/painted by DAM on a sturdy 6"x9" cardback with illustrations by Ryan Winn (of Valiant comics fame). Each card features a homage to classic Marvel comic covers by Jack Kirby, Bob Layton and Todd McFarlane. WOW.
The 1st edition is limited to 20 figures (5 of each or 5 sets). This will be available at buzzardguts.storenvy.com only starting February 24th (6pm CST). They will be prices as follows: $40 each ($150 for the set). Collect Em' All!
