We have secretly liked this figure concept, well, until now! Now I just LOVE it. Here we have the continuation of breeds in the Squatting Dog line of adorable Japanese sofubi soft vinyl figures, this time it's Bat Ear. This lil' guy is strangely innocent as in dispose. Anyone who has ever had a dog will definitely relate. The sculpt looks quite good, and the shiny coat, albeit completely unrealistic in pinks, grays and blacks, bring a certain witty distance from the act portrayed. Here's the new trio:
The bright pink steals the show in my humble opinion, and the gray guy is like a finished prototype feel, the black will appeal to those with monochromatic collections where double-takes are often the key to appreciating such things. Here's a slightly closer look at each of these PVC guys who measure about an impressive 7" tall and about 8 1/4" in width and runs for about $78. Here he is in his new three colorways!:
PRIVATE MOMENTS: Their original soft vinyl line had a Ikimu Inu, for which they have simultaneously released a brand-new bright green guy in the colorway that glows in light! He's 3.5" x 2.75" in a mini size ($9) and the larger size for $78. Their previous Pinkcolorway of the same figure has Sold Out! They originally had a Kickstarter to get these up and running, and we are glad they did. Check him out....
